Affiliate disclosure: Same Sample may earn a commission from some links on this page. The commercial relationship is stated next to each product, and products we have no approved affiliate relationship with carry ordinary links. Affiliate status and commission rates are not inputs to the scoring model.
Same Sample earns affiliate commissions. When you click a referral link and later buy a paid plan, the vendor pays us a share of that sale. You pay the same price either way, and the ranking order follows the published methodology, not commission rates.
What is an affiliate link?
A referral link carries a code identifying this site. If you buy after clicking it, the vendor pays us a percentage. The price you pay does not change.
Referral links on this site are marked in the page markup with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", which is the attribute search engines expect on paid links.
Links that are not referral links, for example to a vendor's documentation or to a source we cite, carry no such marking and earn us nothing.
Why do we link every product, not just the winner?
Every product on a comparison page carries our referral link. Our revenue therefore does not depend on which one you choose, which removes the incentive to rank by commission rate.
A page that links only its top pick has a direct financial interest in that pick being chosen. We would rather remove that pressure entirely than ask readers to trust that we resisted it.
How does this affect rankings?
Commission rates do not affect the order. Order follows the measured results published on the methodology page. Where a highly ranked tool pays us less than one below it, or nothing at all, we state that on the page.
Commission rates in this category vary by a factor of several times between vendors. If we ranked by revenue the order would look very different, and it would be visible to anyone who checked the affiliate programmes.
What do we not do?
We do not take payment for placement or for a better position, we do not let vendors review content before publication, and we do not run cashback, coupon or incentive offers on referral links.
